Dump truck overturns into pond, driver injured.

(Baonghean.vn) - Hearing a loud "splash," residents along National Highway 46 saw a dump truck flip into a pond and land as if it were on the road.

The accident occurred at 5 PM on April 16th in Hamlet 5, Thanh Ngoc Commune (Thanh Chuong District). According to witnesses, the dump truck, bearing license plate 37C - 14.533 and driven by a driver named Kien, was traveling on National Highway 46 in the direction of Vinh - Dung when, near the Thanh Ngoc brick and tile factory, it lost control, crashed through the barrier, broke a series of road markers, and overturned into a pond beside the road.

The dump truck, after plunging into the pond from a height of about 5 meters, flipped over once and landed on all four wheels as if it were on a road. During the roll, it tossed coal from the truck bed into the pond. The driver was injured and trapped by the passenger door; he was later rescued by locals and taken to the hospital. At the scene, the truck's windows were shattered and the passenger door was damaged.

Following the accident, the Thanh Chuong District Police arrived at the scene to handle the incident.
