The Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has notified all Vietnamese businesses exporting fruit to Dubai of a list of some fruit import businesses with signs of fraud in the UAE.
Many of these businesses have been sued for not paying the exporter.
Accordingly, it is recommended that Vietnamese enterprises do not transact with the companies named below:
1- Green Belt Food Stuff; 2- Diamond Empire General Trading; 3- Vintage International FZC; 4- Mohammad Mehdi General Trading; 5- Onion Food Stuff Trading; 6- Khushi Trading; 7- Olwen International FZC; 8- Red Fort Trading; 9- Season Food Stuff Trading;10-Lassani Food Stuff Trading; 11-Mahak Gulf Trading;12-Takbeer Trading;13-Floral Fruit.
Specifically, this agency has received many complaints and requests for support from Vietnamese fruit export enterprises to the UAE for a number of import companies in Dubai.
The specific forms of fraud and commercial fraud are as follows: Dealing with Vietnamese export enterprises and persuading them to sign export contracts for fruits such as lemons, bananas, etc. with the payment method of 50% payment after receiving a scan of the shipping documents and 50% payment after receiving the goods of the correct quality (even 15 days after receiving the goods); citing the reason that this is a business practice for fruits and vegetables in Dubai (the seller owes the buyer money)
After receiving the scanned documents, the UAE Company sent the TT receipt to the Vietnamese company to get the original documents, then continuously used the excuse of bank problems to cover up the issuance of fake TT to delay payment (even the first 50%).
Many Vietnamese businesses have been delayed in payment for up to 6 months - 1 year, even going to the place to collect the money but still could not resolve the issue because UAE businesses deliberately avoided or used tricks to stall for time (promising to pay in many times but not paying or sending fake TT goods).
Upon receiving the goods, the UAE Company also used the trick of swapping poor quality goods and complaining to the Vietnamese company without any documents to assess the quality of the goods.
