Referee 'ruined' HAGL-FLC Thanh Hoa match: 'I feel so confused'

Referee Tran Xuan Nguyen shared this after what happened at Pleiku Stadium in the match where HAGL lost to FLC Thanh Hoa 2-3.

The match between HAGL and FLC Thanh Hoa had quite high professional quality. However, the highlight of this match came from the referee. Especially the reactions of HAGL towards the referee team on the field. In particular, the main referee Tran Xuan Nguyen had to endure a lot of pressure from the home team.

The morning after the match, the referee got in the car to return to his hometown in Hue. On the way, Mr. Nguyen still had not finished thinking about yesterday's match and still had not come to terms with what had happened. "I feel very confused. Being a referee in Vietnam puts a lot of pressure on me. However, it's my job, I have to accept what happens," the referee from Hue said briefly.

Regarding the reactions from HAGL and the audience, Mr. Nguyen shared: "When playing football, facing pressure from the team and the audience is normal."

This is the fourth time referee Tran Xuan Nguyen has been appointed to officiate in V-League 2017. In the previous three matches, when he officiated, there was no strong reaction from the teams.
