(Baonghean.vn) - After his classes at the People's Security Academy, Lieutenant Ta Quang Quyet passionately dedicates himself to providing free exam preparation courses to help underprivileged students realize their dreams.
For many years, Lieutenant Ta Quang Quyet, from Hamlet 2, Khanh Son 2, Khanh Son Commune, Nam Dan District (Nghe An Province), has not only successfully fulfilled his duties as a lecturer at the People's Security Academy, but he has also opened many free tutoring classes for poor students in rural areas.

After his classes at the People's Security Academy, Lieutenant Ta Quang Quyet passionately heads to his free "exam preparation center" located about 1km from the Academy to continue his work of helping underprivileged students realize their dreams.
This charity class, which he opened more than three years ago, aims to contribute to sharing knowledge, experience, and a thirst for understanding with underprivileged students.
Each year, he opens about 3-4 classes, each with around 20-30 students, mostly poor but studious students from various localities around Hanoi. In these classes, he directly teaches two social science subjects: History and Literature, alongside many "associates" who are top-performing university students and national-level outstanding students. In addition, he also manages several similar classes but without teaching them.
Regarding the idea of opening free classes, Mr. Quyet said: stemming from his own circumstances as a poor student who received help from teachers without tuition fees, he has always harbored the desire to do something to help students in similar situations to his own. He hopes that students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have yet to fulfill their dreams of attending university will be able to continue their education and realize their aspirations.

"The curriculum for high school students, as well as the methods and formats of entrance exams, have undergone many changes, putting pressure on teachers. Therefore, to teach well, teachers must constantly learn, seek advice from colleagues, and update themselves with the latest information on exam methods and formats so that they can teach students as effectively as possible and achieve the best results in the exams," the police lieutenant shared.
Previously, Mr. Ta Quang Quyet, a talented student with a passion for scientific research, won three first prizes in individual scientific research at the Academy level, nearly 20 other team prizes, and participated in and won many awards in competitions launched by ministries and departments. Graduating with honors and a GPA of 8.75, Mr. Ta Quang Quyet was retained by the Academy to work.
Teaching at the Academy while also working at a cram school, the police lieutenant had a very busy schedule, but he performed his duties exceptionally well, earning everyone's admiration.
| Lieutenant Ta Quang Quyet stated: “The People's Security Academy is a school with a long and rich tradition. Every year, students are admitted to the school with very high scores, which is a source of pride but also a pressure for the teachers. To do well in both jobs at the Academy and at the 'exam preparation center' requires a well-organized work schedule, personal effort and enthusiasm, and empathy for and support for colleagues.” |
Speaking about the future of the free class, the beloved teacher of the underprivileged students shared: "As long as I have the energy and enthusiasm, I will try my best to maintain this class. It is the passion of myself and many others, especially for our dear underprivileged students."
