8 deeply discounted car models you can buy now

Popular car models are deeply discounted by hundreds of millions of dong, giving many people in need more motivation to buy new cars for their families.

In just the first 2 months of 2017, there were 8 car brands in the Vietnamese market that "massively discounted" their products, including domestically assembled cars and completely imported cars.

Honda

Honda Accord.

Honda is the first brand to announce a price reduction for the Accord (this car is imported from Thailand) with a reduction of 80 million VND.

Honda Accord is a car model that had its price adjusted quite early in the Vietnamese market since the beginning of January after the import tax from the ASEAN region was officially adjusted to decrease further.

In the Vietnamese market, the new selling price of Honda Accord 2.4L will be 1.39 billion VND, a decrease of 80 million VND compared to the previous selling price.

The 2016 version of the D-class sedan was just launched in the Vietnamese market last May with a price of 1.47 billion VND. The car is imported and has many changes in interior and exterior design.

The 2016 Arcord uses a 2.4L i-VTEC engine combined with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Sport shift paddles and cruise control are integrated on the steering wheel.

Toyota

Lexus luxury cars also have reduced prices

In early February, Toyota announced price reductions for a series of imported car models. Specifically, according to Toyota Vietnam's new price list, the Yaris G is priced at 642 million VND, a decrease of 47 million VND; the Toyota Yaris E is priced at 592 million VND, a decrease of 44 million VND compared to the previous price.

The Land Cruiser Prado TX-L has been reduced quite a bit, with the selling price from February of this imported model being 2.167 billion VND, a reduction of 164 million VND; the Land Cruiser VX has a selling price of 3.65 billion VND, a reduction of 70 million VND.

In addition to these two models, a series of luxury cars of the Lexus brand (imported and distributed by Toyota Vietnam) also decreased simultaneously. Accordingly, except for the Lexus ES250 and GS200t which still maintain the same price, most of the selling prices of Lexus brand cars decreased with the highest decrease of up to more than 200 million VND.

Mazda

Mazda 3

The retail prices of Mazda brand cars in Vietnam have also been significantly reduced. Among Mazda products, only the new 2017 Mazda6 and the 3.2L Mazda BT-50 have not been reduced in price. The rest have mostly adjusted their new prices. Among them, the Mazda3, Mazda CX-5, and Mazda6 (old models) have quite good prices.

Compared to the old price before implementing the incentive programs, the selling price of the old Mazda6 version is still the model that holds the record for preferential prices among the Japanese brand's car lines. Specifically, the Mazda6 2.0L (old model) has a selling price in February of 840 million VND, a decrease of 75 million VND. The Mazda6 2.5L has a new selling price of 929 million VND, a decrease of 140 million VND.

Mazda CX-5 versions have a discount of 35 - 50 million VND. Meanwhile, although it is the best-selling model in segment C, Mazda3 also enjoys incentives with a discount of 25 - 45 million VND depending on the version. Mazda BT-50 2.2 MT and AT pickup trucks have a slight discount of more than 10 million VND.

With the current retail price adjustment, Kia and Mazda have become two brands with very competitive prices in the Vietnamese market.

Kia

Similar to Mazda, Kia also offers incentives for its two best-selling products, Morning and Cerato, although the incentives are lower than Mazda's. Morning reduces the listed price by about 3 million VND, Cerato reduces by 5 million VND. The highest-end version of Cerato, the 2.0, costs 691 million VND in March, not including incentives from each dealer. Many customers said they could buy the Cerato 2.0 for about 681 million VND, which is only slightly higher than a B-class car.

Nissan

In the sales race in the C-size crossover segment, Nissan is determined to use the X-Trail to put pressure on the CX-5. Accordingly, the X-Trail is discounted by up to 100 million with 70 million in cash and 30 million in gifts. In addition, other Nissan models are also discounted. Sunny is discounted by 10 million, Teana by 10-20 million, Juke by 10 million and Navara by 15-30 million depending on the version.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi applies the Fukubukuro program with gift packages worth 6-18 million for customers. Meanwhile, each dealer has deeper discounts. For example, Mirage can reduce up to 40 million, including 30 million in cash and 10 million in gas coupons. Attrage, Outlander, Pajero Sport also receive incentives of about 30-40 million VND.

Ford

Ford Everest

Ford Vietnam has also just announced a price reduction for the Everest and Focus models. Accordingly, the Everest 2.2L AT 4x2 Trend version and the Everest 2.2L AT 4x2 Titanium version have new prices of VND 1.185 billion and VND 1.265 billion, respectively, a decrease of VND 64 million compared to before. The new Focus Trend EcoBoost model enjoys a price reduction of VND 51 million, from VND 699 million to VND 648 million.

Peugeot

French car brand Peugeot with 6 car models currently distributed in Vietnam: 208L, 2008, 408 Deluxe, 3008, 308 Allute and 508 also has its selling price adjusted. 5/6 car models have been adjusted to reduce prices quite well.

Specifically, the 2008 has a new selling price of 1.7 billion VND (a decrease of 70 million VND compared to the previous selling price). The two models 508 and 308 Allute have a price of 60 million VND; the 208 FL has a decrease of 30 million VND. In contrast to other models, the Peugeot 3008 has increased from 1.17 billion VND to 1.19 billion VND (20 million VND compared to the old price).
