(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, the Provincial Military Party Committee held a conference to quickly announce the results of the 5th Central Conference of the Party Central Committee (Term XII). Attending the conference were comrades in the Standing Committee, the Party Committee Executive Committee, party members of the agency and delegates of affiliated agencies and units.

The 5th Conference of the Party Central Committee (12th tenure) took place in Hanoi from May 5 to 10, 2017. After a period of working with a high sense of responsibility, promoting democracy and intelligence; the Conference passed 3 resolutions on: "Perfecting the socialist-oriented market economic institution"; "Continuing to restructure, innovate and improve the efficiency of state-owned enterprises"; "Developing the private economy to become an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy".

The conference listened to reports on important tasks that the Politburo has resolved since the 4th Conference of the Party Central Committee (12th tenure) up to now; at the same time, reviewed the leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat in 2016 in conjunction with the implementation of the 4th Central Resolution (12th tenure) on Party building and rectification. The Party Central Committee discussed, contributed opinions and decided to discipline comrade Dinh La Thang - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee by warning and removing him from the position of member of the 12th Politburo.

Concluding the Conference this morning, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh emphasized: “Party organizations and all cadres and party members in the Provincial Military Party Committee need to grasp the core contents of Resolution 5 of the Central Committee. Continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, creatively apply the resolution to the practical political tasks of the unit and closely follow the practical situation of the area where the unit is stationed, contributing to the successful implementation of the local military and defense tasks in 2017 and the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Party…”.
