People's Artist Thu Hien criticized the Nghe An girl for being too "acting" when singing folk songs.

Episode three of the competitionFuture Idolbroadcast on the evening of March 25. Contestant Pham Thi Phuong from Nghe An showed off her talent for singing Vi Dam. The 14-year-old girl performed the songVi and Giam tunes are my children(music: Tran Quoc Nam, lyrics: Le Quang Thang).

On stage, the girl wearing the traditional Vietnamese dress showed off her clear, graceful voice with a song with the folk melody of Nghe An and Ha Tinh. While singing, the contestant made gestures and movements to express the words. The young singer also transformed into the character in the song to express the sentimentality and love of the lyrics such as: "Anh cu choi em "nô cho" and "nô đi"/ Sao nhon long sat hat de anh nghe...". The girl ended the performance with a melodious verse and received cheers from the audience.

However, the judge - People's Artist Thu Hien was not satisfied with the girl's performance. "I don't like you to act too much because the lyrics about Nghe Tinh are already profound. I feel like you are an artist but you are reduced to an old woman," the artist criticized.

Singer Quang Linh said that the girl chose a song that was too much for her, and that her poor health and nervousness often caused her to run out of breath while singing. "You should drink more milk," he joked. Meanwhile,Judge Cam Ly commented that the contestant did not distribute his breath properly, leading to him running out of breath at the end of the sentence.

Pham Thi Phuong promised to try to fix her singing errors if she was allowed to continue. Receiving the green light from the judges, the young contestant burst into tears of joy.
