The contest that launched supermodel Thanh Hang's fame 15 years ago has officially returned after a 5-year hiatus with a new name.

From June 1, 2017, the beauty contest organized by Vietnam Women's Newspaper, which was the launching pad for the success of beauties: Tran Bao Ngoc, Ngo Thanh Van, Thanh Hang, Truc Diem, Xuan Lan, Ha Anh, Truong Thi May, Vo Hoang Yen, Phan Thu Quyen, Hoang Oanh... officially returned with the name 'Miss Photo 2017: Journey to Shine'.

In order to find and honor Vietnamese women with good morals, a spirit of kindness, compassion, and the ability to act in front of the camera; to open a new and creative playground for young women, photographers, stylists, fashion designers, beauty experts... and a large number of readers, Vietnam Women's Newspaper organizes the program 'Voting for Miss Vietnamese Women through photos - Miss Photo 2017: Journey to shine', based on license number 195/NTBD-QLBD issued by the Department of Performing Arts on March 23, 2017.

Unlike other beauty contests, girls only need to be 1m58 tall, have a balanced appearance, and be between 18-27 years old to be able to register for the contest and have the opportunity to be crowned Miss Photo 2017. After the preliminary round, the top 30 excellent contestants will be entered into the final round. The jury of Miss Photo 2017 includes famous names in the art and photography world such as Anthropometrics Doctor Tham Hoang Diep, photographer Trinh Quoc Huy, supermodel Ha Anh, Actor-MC Binh Minh, photographer Le Thien Vien; and aesthetic and beauty expert Brendon Urlich.
