Gasoline prices increase from 3pm April 20
Each liter of RON 92 gasoline sold domestically will increase by VND350 per liter, to the common price of VND17,583 per liter, from 3:00 p.m. on April 20.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just announced an adjustment to domestic retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, all gasoline and oil products have increased by 350 VND per liter and kilogram compared to the previous adjustment period.
Along with the increase in gasoline prices, the operator also increased the expenditure level for using the Price Stabilization Fund for these items from 0 VND per liter, kg in the previous management period. However, the Fund deduction level (300 VND per liter, kg) remains the same. Specifically, the expenditure level for the Price Stabilization Fund for RON 92 gasoline increased to 414 VND per liter, E5 gasoline is 364 VND per liter; diesel will have a Fund expenditure level of 300 VND per liter; kerosene is 297 VND per liter, and mazut is 304 VND per kg.
After the adjustments, the price of RON 92 gasoline is generally at 17,583 VND per liter; E5 gasoline is at 17,382 VND per liter. Diesel is no higher than 13,819 VND per liter; kerosene is 12,338 VND per liter and mazut is no higher than 10,966 VND per kilogram.

The basis for the increase in domestic gasoline prices was explained by the joint ministries as being due to the sharp increase in the prices of finished products of these items in the past 15 days, averaging at 66.127 USD per barrel for RON 92 gasoline; diesel at 65.913 USD per barrel... Along with that, the price of ethanol E100 included in calculating the base price of E5 gasoline according to Official Dispatch 135 of the Ministry of Finance dated February 16, 2017 is 13,813 VND per liter (excluding VAT).
Previously, many petroleum trading enterprises also said that world gasoline prices increased sharply last week, so the upcoming adjustment period will see a high price increase for this product.
This is the 8th adjustment in retail gasoline prices since the beginning of the year and the 6th increase in domestic retail gasoline prices.
