(Baonghean.vn) - During her last days living in a dilapidated house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Suu (38 years old) in Hamlet 5, Nhan Son Commune was still worried that she would not have enough money to pay for her funeral when she passed away.

Ms. Suu's situation is very difficult, she has 3 daughters, Nguyen Thi Hang born in 1996, Nguyen Thi Mo born in 1999. In 2000, she gave birth to her third daughter, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Uoc. But when she found out that the third child was also a girl, her husband left her.

In June 2016, when the two older daughters had just finished 9th grade and had to drop out of school to go to the South to work to earn money for the family, they learned that their sister had terminal lung cancer that had spread to the brain. When they heard that their mother was sick, the two sisters immediately returned home and sold their most valuable asset, the buffalo, to have money to pay for their mother's treatment.

Every day, Mo takes care of her mother and catches crabs to earn more food.

Loving her daughter, Suu kept urging Hang to get married while her mother was still alive. As for Mo, she stayed home to take care of her mother during the day, and at night she went out to catch crabs and snails to earn money to buy food. Her dreams when she had just turned 18 gradually faded away. Mo cried and said: "I just hope that my mother is healthy, that I can have a stable job, so that Uoc does not have to drop out of school like me."

Ngoc Uoc is a student in class 11A9, Do Luong III High School. She is a good student, recognized as an excellent student every year, but had to drop out of school to stay home and take care of her mother. When they heard that she had dropped out of school due to difficult circumstances, the teachers came to her house to encourage her to continue going to school. In recent days, the terrible disease has tormented her again. When neighbors came to visit, she choked up with pity for her child.

The dilapidated house of Ms. Suu and her children

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet - head of the women's association in hamlet 5, Nhan Son commune, Do Luong shared: "Ms. Suu is a very gentle person. Because she gave birth to only daughters, her husband left her. We could only raise a little money to help and encourage her. As for her youngest daughter, she had to drop out of school all the time..."

Her husband left her, her children missed out on their education, the family's finances were exhausted, and she had no money for daily medical treatment. Her illness was rampant, so Ms. Suu became weaker every day. Ms. Suu's family is in dire need of help from benefactors to help Uoc continue to go to school, and her last wish is to buy a funeral home when she passes away.
