Nearly 1,000 children screened for heart disease and motor disabilities

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 15, nearly 1,000 Tan Ky children were screened for congenital heart disease, cleft lip and palate, eye defects and motor disabilities.

This is a program organized by the Provincial Children's Fund in collaboration with Vinh International Hospital and Hoan My Da Nang Hospital to screen children with congenital heart disease, eye defects, cleft lip and palate, and motor disabilities in the entire Tan Ky district.

In addition to the screening examination at the Town Health Station, the medical team and doctors went to Ky Tan Commune Kindergarten and Tan Ky Town Kindergarten to examine the children. As a result of the screening examination, the Provincial Children's Fund compiled a list of 8 children with congenital heart disease, 6 children with cleft lip and cleft palate, 4 children with eye defects and 5 children with motor disabilities who were indicated for surgery, and provided instructions on how to prepare a profile to call on benefactors to support free surgery costs for the children in 2017./.
