Previously, when the whole country was looking forward to celebrating the historic victory day of April 30, priest Dang Huu Nam had arrogant actions, inciting and defaming the achievements of the revolution, trampling on the blood sacrifices of generations of fathers and ancestors to regain national independence; denying the achievements of the revolutions; causing instability and dividing the great national unity bloc. In particular, at around 5:30 p.m. on April 30, 2017, at Phu Yen Parish Church, An Hoa Commune, priest Dang Huu Nam took advantage of his position as a priest to turn the church into a place to preach and propagate with extreme and reactionary words.

The district's war veterans have passed a resolution to protest against Mr. Dang Huu Nam, parish priest of Phu Yen, An Hoa commune: Requesting Vinh diocese and Thuan Nghia ward to take measures to prevent the illegal acts of priest Dang Huu Nam.
