Forest ranger chief stabbed in the stomach by hunter.
During a struggle with a group of hunters, the head of the Nui Tuong Forest Ranger Station (Cat Tien National Park) was stabbed and seriously injured.
On April 21st, authorities in Tan Phu district (Dong Nai province) are investigating the case of the head of the Nui Tuong Forest Ranger Station (Cat Tien National Park) who was seriously wounded in the abdomen by a group of hunters.

At 2 PM yesterday, Mr. Pham Quoc Vinh - Head of the Nui Tuong Forest Ranger Station (Cat Tien National Park) - along with 3 officers patrolling in sub-area 32 of Cat Tien National Park, discovered a group of people with 3 dogs illegally hunting animals.
After a period of observation, four forest rangers approached and ordered the group of hunters to stop. However, the group resisted.
During the struggle, one of the hunters used a sharp knife to stab the head of the Nui Tuong Forest Ranger Station in the stomach.
Seeing that Mr. Vinh was injured, forest ranger Dinh Sy Ti fired a warning shot into the air. The group of hunters threw down their knives at the scene and fled into the forest.
Three forest rangers quickly took Mr. Vinh to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Immediately after the incident, Cat Tien National Park coordinated with the district police to track down the group of hunters.
