Another fisherman seriously injured due to broken winch rope

(Baonghean.vn) - While pulling the net, the winch broke and hit Mr. Hoa hard in the face, causing him to faint. He was then taken to the mainland for emergency treatment.

On the morning of March 28, fishing boat NA91568TS captained by Ho Ba Manh (Minh Son village, Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu) docked to take Phan Dinh Hoa, a victim of the accident, to the emergency room.

Previously, at 5:00 p.m. on March 27, Mr. Manh's fishing boat was fishing at coordinates 18o40' N - 106o39' E and started to winch up the net. While pulling in the middle, the winch broke and hit Mr. Hoa (43 years old, crew member on the boat) in the face.

The strong impact caused Mr. Hoa to break his cheekbone, fall down and become unconscious. The fishing boat owner immediately turned the boat back to the mainland to take the victim to the emergency room. When the boat returned near Lach Quen port, due to low tide, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station sent a canoe to provide timely support.

Currently, victim Hoa is being treated at the hospital in critical condition.

Previously, on March 17 and 21, two fishing boats of fishermen from Quynh Luu district were fishing at sea when their winch cables broke. As a result, two people died and three others were seriously injured.
