Cua Lo: 80% of rooms are full for the holidays of April 30 and May 1

(Baonghean.vn) - Although the April 30 and May 1 holidays have not yet begun, many hotels and motels in Cua Lo are fully booked.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung - Cua Lo Trade Union Hotel (under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) said: This year, guests booked quite early and mainly in groups. The hotel has 210 3-star standard rooms, on April 29 alone, 100% of the rooms were booked with prices ranging from 1-1.2 million VND/room/day and night. In general, tourism this year has shown signs of improvement, service prices are stable.

According to a survey, most of the hotels, motels, and accommodations along Binh Minh Street have been fully booked for the upcoming holiday. This year's prices are stable compared to previous years: the average price for a single room ranges from 250,000 - 400,000 VND/room/day; the price for a double room with two beds ranges from 900,000 - 1,200,000 VND/room/day. Currently, 80% of the rooms in Cua Lo have been booked, especially the hotels located at exit 1 on Binh Minh Street are fully booked.

This year, Cua Lo has a number of large restaurants and hotels invested in construction and put into operation, creating a synchronous infrastructure to meet the increasing needs of tourists. Among them, there are a number of large hotels such as: Summer Hotel with 19 floors, 250 rooms, 4-star standard located on Binh Minh Street; Golden City Company's resort villa project invested in building a 21-storey 5-star hotel; Blue Wave Hotel with 15 floors, 3-star standard... Especially, Vinpearl Cua Hoi resort tourism project with a scale of 38.5 hectares, investment capital of 900 billion VND including resort villas, 5-star international standard hotel, luxury restaurants and other facilities also put into operation during Cua Lo tourist season this year.

Mr. Vo Van Tho - Head of the Cultural Department of Cua Lo Town said that Cua Lo currently has 293 accommodation establishments, with 10,000 rooms. Compared to 2016, this year there are 8 more hotels with nearly 1,000 rooms. Currently, the accommodation establishments are capable of serving 19,200 thousand guests/day and night; 4 more accommodation establishments have been ranked as meeting standards, bringing the total number of 1-4 star accommodation establishments in the town to 45, meeting the needs of activities and organizing international events. The total number of employees in the tourism sector is 8,500 people.

In the 2017 tourist season, with the theme “Cua Lo converges and shines”, the coastal town aims to welcome more than 1.8 million visitors, an increase of 10% compared to 2016; of which, 977 thousand visitors stay, 5,000 international visitors. Tourism service revenue reached 1,633 billion VND, an increase of 15% compared to 2016./.
