Following the announcement of the Central Inspection Committee, Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc, former Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children, shared that as a person with many years of Party membership, he was very sad to hear that his comrades, those with important responsibilities, were disciplined, their names were exposed for one thing after another, from one comrade to another. Among them were things that no one thought their comrades could commit such a serious mistake.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc - former Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children.

“Why did those mistakes happen? What led to those mistakes? No one is perfect, everyone has shortcomings, one of them is another, but there are shortcomings that I, like many people, never thought of: comrades who were entrusted by the Party and State with important tasks in the country's socio-economic fields, would have such regrettable shortcomings,” Mr. Chuc wondered.

However, according to Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc, in the sadness of his comrade's shortcomings, he has faith and hope in the determination of the Secretariat and the Central Inspection Committee in handling the collective and individual violations. "Through this incident and the cases that have been handled recently, there are very positive signs, the determination of the Party and State in handling violations, regaining the trust of the people."

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc, “We must also frankly admit that we have been lax for too long. These are all violations from the previous term (2010-2015) and the seeds of violations may have been incubated even before. Now that we have tightened them, they have burst out, from one place to another, in every sector, every level, every locality, there are violations, big or small. We, the party members and the people, truly feel pain.”

Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc said that through the recent decisions to handle cadres and groups that have committed violations, the Party's determination is clearly shown. "I think the comrades in the Central Inspection Commission must also be very painful, very brave, and very determined to make such decisions. Disciplining your comrades is painful, but if you don't do it, people will look at it and know who to believe. The Party organization is the highest organization, but there are still comrades, even comrades holding high positions, who still have shortcomings, as the announcement of the Central Inspection Commission stated, which are serious, even very serious. With such violations, if you don't discipline, don't take strict action, and don't make them public, people will not believe it."

All Party members and everyone must take that as an example.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc, this also clearly shows that the Party has truly promoted democracy and openness to the people with the spirit that no one and no organization is above the law. This is also a continuation of the important task in accordance with the spirit of the 4th Central Resolution of building a clean and strong Party.

“Discipline here is not just discipline for the sake of it. I only wish that all Party members and everyone take it as an example. All those who have violated it should take it as a lesson and never make mistakes. On the contrary, those who have not been disciplined or those in office should also take it as a warning to themselves. Those who violate, whether small or big, should take it as a lesson to immediately stop doing what they are doing wrong. Only then will the handling of violations be effective,” said Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc, the determination to handle individual and collective violations without any “forbidden zones” is not the property of an individual but of the entire leadership group. In recent times, everywhere we see the General Secretary, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the National Assembly speaking with a unified voice to maintain discipline and maintain integrity. And through practical actions, the prestige of the General Secretary, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the National Assembly before the people has been increasingly enhanced. The leaders of the Party, the State, and the National Assembly are determined to fight corruption and resolve cases of violations, regardless of who is involved or who is involved, they are determined to handle them fairly.

“Only by doing so will the people trust us. As comrades, we must be sincere and straightforward. If we have shortcomings, we must tell each other. It is better to lose each other's hearts than to lose the hearts of the people. The hearts of the people are the most important. If the people trust, are of one mind and agree, then anything can be solved. Our ancestors and Uncle Ho also said, “The people push the boat, the people capsize the boat.” As for us, we build a democratic regime, we understand the revolutionary masses, we understand the strength of the people,” said Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Chuc emphasized that our Party has a very clear motto, with no other purpose than serving the people. So we must fight with each other, criticize each other, and clearly state to the people the achievements and even the shortcomings of each other and of each comrade. “I think this is a very correct way of doing things. The Resolution of the 12th Party Congress, right from the first line, clearly stated the need to build a clean and strong Party. To do so, the Party must multiply good factors, and the abscesses and diseases must be resolutely cut off”./.
