NASA Announces the Strangest Crater on Mars
NASA's image of the Noctis Labyrinthyus crater is widely believed to be the ventilation roof of an underground city on Mars.
Strange structures discovered on Mars
Noctis Labyrinthyus is a famous honeycomb-like structure on Mars. But one researcher says it's more than just rocks and sand dunes, according to Brief Report.
NASA has released images taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), highlighting the area between Valles Marineris and the Tharsis Plateau. NASA believes the structure could be made from sediments exposed by erosion. But skeptics say it is the “ventilation roof of an underground city” built by aliens.
Noctis Labyrinthyus (Night Labyrinthyus) has impressed scientists with its deep valley system, possessing many maze-like lines. Images of Noctis Labyrinthyus were recorded by MRO with the HiRISE camera in 2006. Researchers claim that these structures were created by the faulting process, but expert Scott C. Warning believes that they were built by aliens.
The walls range in height from 1 to 30 m, with structures in between them resembling whale feeding nets.

He claims that this is a city created by a race of small aliens. Warning claims that the ventilated roof is necessary to combat the harsh environment on Mars, as well as to improve the temperature of the city. This claim has received support from some, but most scientists reject Warning's hypothesis.
