Sinusitis is a very common disease in our country. The main causes are rhinitis, flu, sometimes sore throat; due to bathing, trauma, sudden pressure changes when flying, foreign objects in the nose, complications of flu, measles, whooping cough, pneumonia caused by pneumococcus...
The sinus mucosa becomes inflamed, congested, and secretes excess mucus, blocking the sinus passages. Here are some simple home remedies for sinusitis:
Steam inhalation: Boil mint leaves and steam your whole body or scoop out a large bowl of water and inhale the steam, covering your head with a large towel. You can replace the bundle of leaves by adding a few drops of essential oil or peppermint or cinnamon oil to the bowl of boiling water for steaming; it has the same effect.

Day squeeze both sides of nose. |
Rinse the nasal cavity with saline solution: Rinse the nasal sinuses with 0.9% saline solution sold at pharmacies or mix 1 teaspoon of salt in 2 cups of warm water with a pinch of bicarbonate. Pour the saline solution into a large enough bowl, tilt your head back, cover one nostril, inhale the water into the other nostril and gently blow your nose. Switch nostrils and do the same. Blow your nose properly, blow one nostril at a time, do not blow both nostrils at the same time because it will increase the pressure in the inner ear, pushing bacteria deeper into the sinuses.
Massage both sides of the bridge of the nose: use your thumb and index finger to massage both sides of the bridge of the nose, press the Yingxiang point, temples and philtrum for 5-10 minutes. The Yingxiang point is on the outside of the base of the nose, 0.5cm from the nose; the temples are located in the depressions on both sides of the temples, about 1.5cm from the corners of the eyes.

Turtle shell water, rehmannia glutinosa: 5g turtle shell, 9g rehmannia glutinosa, 6g tangerine peel, appropriate amount of honey. Put the herbs in a pot to boil and drink with honey, one dose per day, for 4-5 consecutive days.
Pigweed juice: choose fresh plants, soak, wash, drain, crush, squeeze to get the juice, use cotton soaked in the liquid to insert into the nostril on the painful side for about 15-20 minutes. Remove the cotton to let the pus from the nasal cavity flow out and then blow gently. Avoid blowing your nose hard because at that time the pus from the nasal cavity can go through the connection between the nose and ear (called the Eustachian tube) causing acute otitis media. Effects: anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, anti-allergy in both acute and chronic stages.
