On his second day at the Blue House, May 12, new South Korean President Moon Jae-in went down to the cafeteria and ordered a normal meal like everyone else.

Mr. Moon went alone to the cafeteria for civil servants, ate a 3,000 won meal (more than 60,000 VND). He personally carried the food and sat down to eat at the table, much to the astonishment of government employees.

The fact that Mr. Moon Jae-in moved his workplace from the presidential area in the Blue House to the staff office area, and now goes down to the cafeteria for lunch, has surprised Blue House staff.

The cafeteria management said they couldn’t believe their ears when Mr. Moon called to say he was coming down to eat. They even asked, “Are you really going down to eat with the staff? Did you have the wrong number?”
