Continue to stimulate business spirit in new rural communes
(Baonghean) - New, spacious and well-opened roads, large-scale production planning fields; new and bustling appearance of the countryside... are our common feelings when returning to the new rural standard communes of Do Luong district.
Returning to Trang Son (Do Luong), we felt the clear change in the purely agricultural countryside after the completion of the new rural construction (2016). Leading us on the standard road that the hamlet had mobilized the people to contribute to build, Mr. Le Dinh Hoa - Secretary of the Party Cell of Hamlet 8, Trang Son Commune excitedly said: "The hamlet has 180 households. After completing and putting into use 3 km of traffic roads and a standard cultural house, the people are excited and assured in production; the whole hamlet has 20 households specializing in service business... The average income per capita has reached over 30 million VND/year, an increase of 6 million VND compared to 2015.

Compared to the communes that have reached the new rural finish line in Do Luong district, the infrastructure system of Trang Son commune has been invested in quite systematically and synchronously, the quality of the works has received many high evaluations. Mr. Le Dinh Thong - Chairman of Trang Son Commune People's Committee, said: The whole commune has mobilized hundreds of billions of VND to invest synchronously and meet the standards of over 35 km of roads, 13 cultural houses in hamlets, inner fields, and canals. After building the new rural area, the commune has planned 2 more residential areas in hamlets 4 and 13 with 50 households located along National Highway 15A specializing in trade and service businesses. In the area adjacent to the forestry land, the commune has developed 5 livestock farm models in the direction of goods with an income of 150 - 250 million VND/year... The total value of agricultural production of the commune reached over 15%, the value of trade and services reached over 52%.

Entering the new rural construction, the whole Tan Son commune has only achieved 9/19 criteria, the infrastructure system has not met the requirements, and people's lives are still uneven. With great determination and efforts, in 2015 the commune completed 19 criteria. Mr. Tran Van Hai - Chairman of Tan Son Commune People's Committee said: After completing the criteria for the new rural finish line, the commune focused on doing a good job in land planning, clearly identifying strengths and investing in key areas. Up to now, the whole commune has planned 5 large-scale fields, 5 high-income livestock farm models, becoming the first commune in the province with an income of 5 tons/ha; forming a carpentry village, a noodle village, hundreds of business and service groups. Total social income reached 240 billion VND, average income per capita reached 40 million VND/year, higher than the average level compared to the communes that reached the new rural finish line in 2016 and 2017 of the district.
After completing the construction of new rural areas, the inner fields of Yen Son, Hoa Son, Tan Son, Xuan Son communes... have systematically planned main and secondary roads, canals, and irrigation pumping stations. The donation of land for road construction and the mobilization of social capital in public works investment have been widely supported and supported by the people. In addition to the province's support policy, the district has advanced thousands of tons of cement from The Vissai Cement Group, supporting 200 - 400 tons/commune, directing communes to prioritize the integration of projects on irrigation roads, electricity, roads, schools, stations, especially communes registered to reach the finish line between 2015 and 2017.

The district has also directed departments and branches to coordinate with communes to apply scientific and technological advances to improve production efficiency such as high-quality rice, growing red-seeded dragon fruit, high-quality winter vegetables on rice land, bringing over 700 mechanized machines into production, over 85% of labor has been replaced by machines. Thanks to that, up to now, the communes that have reached the finish line have developed 50 models of growing cucumbers, squash, high-quality vegetables with an income of 80 - 150 million VND/ha in Xuan Son, Tan Son, Thai Son communes; over 130 hectares of aquaculture in Yen Son commune; Thinh Son, each year, the structure of 2 rice crops, 1 fish crop with an income of over 100 million VND/ha, or the model of 1,500 hectares of high-quality rice in Yen Son, Van Son, Hoa Son.

Along with the shift in agricultural structure towards commodities, after completing the new rural area, communes have actively developed hundreds of trade and service occupations. Typical examples include livestock services in Yen Son, Xuan Son, food services in Trang Son, Yen Son, mushroom growing and carpentry occupations in Tan Son, Thai Son, and vermicelli and cake making in Tan Son and Da Son. The economic models after building new rural areas have contributed to increasing income per unit of production land area by 15-20% compared to before, demonstrating the dynamism of people in rural areas to keep up with market trends. The district also continues to plan concentrated production areas, high-quality pure rice, commercial buffalo and cow breeding, and develop a chain of clean product livestock farms in localities with strengths after reaching the finish line such as Xuan Son, Hoa Son, Yen Son, etc.
