General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, has just signed and issued Plan No. 64-KH/BCĐTW and Decision No. 65-QD/BCĐTW to establish 8 working groups to inspect and supervise the inspection of cases; prosecute, investigate, prosecute, and try serious and complicated corruption and economic cases of public concern to 20 Provincial Party Standing Committees.

According to the plan, the inspection and supervision aim to grasp the situation, evaluate the leadership role of Party committees at all levels and the results of the work of detecting and handling corruption; contribute to "identifying" and handling signs of degradation, "self-evolution", and "self-transformation".
The focus is on inspecting and supervising the inspection of cases; initiating, investigating, prosecuting, and trying corruption and economic cases, especially serious and complicated cases that attract public attention; pointing out limitations, difficulties, obstacles, and causes; thereby proposing directions, tasks, and solutions to improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling corruption in the coming time.
The General Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee requested that the inspection and supervision must have a focus and key points; ensure practicality and effectiveness, avoid formality and waste; and assign the Central Internal Affairs Committee to preside over synthesizing the results of the inspection and supervision and report to the Steering Committee before October 30.
