On the afternoon of March 31, Mr. Dau Duc Thai, head of Hamlet 9, Quynh Van Commune, informed that another pig carcass had appeared in the commune, stuck in a sewer on the canal. Immediately afterwards, the Quynh Van Commune authorities sent agricultural officers and the head of the commune's veterinary department to the scene to inspect and concluded that this "new" pig carcass was one of the three pig carcasses discovered on March 29. At the scene, the pig carcass was decomposing rapidly, giving off an extremely foul smell.

Mr. Le Van Ba ​​- Chairman of Quynh Van Commune People's Committee said: Previously, the Commune People's Committee requested the Quynh Luu District Irrigation Enterprise to coordinate in handling the pig carcasses because this is a canal managed by the enterprise. The commune will arrange land for burial. On March 26, people also discovered 3 pig carcasses dumped on Ngan slope (Hamlet 4), the commune treated them with chemicals and buried them safely.

However, Mr. Trinh Xuan Doi - an officer of Quynh Luu Irrigation Enterprise said: On the afternoon of March 30, the enterprise sent 4 officers to handle the matter, but the pig carcass was too large and was decomposing rapidly, so they could not salvage it and only opened the sluice to let the pig float away. Mr. Doi affirmed that he followed the instructions of his superiors.

This contradicts the information that Mr. Nguyen Canh Hy - Director of the enterprise provided to reporters on March 30 that the enterprise had salvaged 1 pig carcass and was preparing to salvage the remaining 2 pig carcasses for processing and burial.
