However, before the day of preparation for recording, the organizer received information that Dam Vinh Hung asked to withdraw from the position of judge for personal reasons."

The representative of the organizing committee added: "The scandal surrounding Dam Vinh Hung's statement "With Dam, without Phuong Thanh" is a personal story between the two artists and we are not the spokesperson."

Contacting Mr. Dam, he said: "I did receive an invitation to participate in the program. However, at that time it was just a job exchange, there was no specific content, it was just verbal and no documents were signed. I was very angry to see my name and image being used for PR in such an unfriendly, uncivilized and even degrading way."

"They just hope Dam Vinh Hung will react strongly, lest he fall into the trap set for unjust profit. With my current position, there is no need to compete or fear anyone's influence," he added.

When asked about their relationship with their long-time colleagues in the profession, both singers Phuong Thanh and Dam Vinh Hung refused to comment.
