Vinh City: Honoring 212 students who achieved high prizes in exams

(Baonghean.vn) - In the 2016-2017 school year, Vinh City continued to affirm its leading position in the quality of mass and spearhead education in the province with 212 excellent students at the national and provincial levels.

Continuously over the past many years, at all levels of education in Vinh city, we have implemented the development of teaching programs and plans to ensure knowledge and skills standards according to regulations and in accordance with the actual conditions of the school.

Along with improving the quality of comprehensive education, the city's education and training sector and each school also pay attention to proposing solutions to improve the quality of key education, focusing on discovering and nurturing gifted students in all subjects.

Thanks to that, the city’s comprehensive and spearhead education quality continues to maintain its leading position in the province. In the 2016-2017 school year alone, the city had 64 high school students achieving national excellent student status; 75 middle school students achieving provincial excellent student status.

At the "Math Solving in English" contest in Hanoi, there were 3 winners and 3 winners of the Science and Technology Innovation contest for high school students; 44 students won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the Internet English contest (IOE).

At the ceremony, Vinh City People's Committee honored 212 students who won high prizes in exams and honored 73 teachers who had achievements in nurturing excellent students in the 2016-2017 school year.
