(Baonghean.vn) - During the 4-day holiday of April 30 and May 1, there were 3 traffic accidents in the province, killing 2 people and injuring 1 person.

According to the report of the Traffic Police Department (PC67, Provincial Police), during the 4-day holiday, there were 3 road traffic accidents in the province, killing 2 people and injuring 1 person.

Compared to the same period in 2016, the number of traffic accidents decreased by 1 case, increased by 1 death, and decreased by 6 injuries.

During the 4-day holiday, the authorities increased patrols and controls to ensure traffic safety and order on the routes; mobilized forces to direct traffic at intersections and locations with complicated traffic safety and order issues, so traffic congestion was reduced.

The Traffic Police organized 312 patrols with 1,121 officers and soldiers participating. Thereby, 1,323 cases of administrative violations of traffic safety and order were detected and recorded.

Of these, there were 481 cases of drivers of 481 cars (passenger cars: 148, trucks: 137, cars: 127), 818 cases of motorbikes, 21 cases of electric motorbikes violating the Traffic Law.

Authorities have temporarily seized 15 cars, 207 motorbikes, and 15 electric motorbikes. At the same time, they have issued decisions to sanction 1,199 cases of administrative violations, transferring nearly 723 million VND in fines.
