Along with the explosion of social networks, the phrase "virtual life" is becoming more and more popular and has become a trend among young people. The explosion of information technology and social networking sites, in addition to many positive aspects, is causing a part of young people to fall into a "virtual life", thinking in a distorted and disoriented way.
Through stories and specific evidence, lecturer Phan Thanh Ho from the Southern Youth Center analyzed the current situation and consequences of “virtual living” among today’s youth. For example, the actions of burning down schools, self-immolation, jumping into rivers… to get likes are clear evidence of the “virtual living” trend of a part of today’s youth.
This negative trend has reached its peak when some people have started to risk their lives to become famous for a moment on social networks.
The reason for the deviant actions of today's youth comes from "following" trends on social networks. Because, when seeing another individual doing it and receiving a lot of followers and attention, they themselves want the same thing and want to be famous.

To cure the disease of virtual life among today's youth, according to lecturer Phan Thanh Ho, the role of family, school and society is very important in orienting the right lifestyle for young people.
Most of the people who fall into the virtual life situation are those who lack family attention, so the family itself must fulfill its responsibilities.
Therefore, parents need to talk to their children regularly and give them the right guidance about information on the internet so that they know how to choose the right information and stay away from negative information. The family must be the place to guide children's life values, - lecturer Phan Thanh Ho emphasized.
In addition to teaching knowledge, schools need to create many practical playgrounds for students. In particular, the Youth Union needs to promote its role to prevent students from "living a virtual life" and lacking direction.
Students also need to choose for themselves rich and positive life activities. Before doing something, they must think about the consequences and avoid following their friends. Only real relationships can help you mature and think more thoroughly than virtual relationships on the Internet.
Nguyen Xuan Ngoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nguyen Truong To High School, said: This program contributes to improving the professional skills of union officials, the quality of life skills education for union members and students, and helps equip them with knowledge and skills to effectively solve situations encountered in life...
The school will continue to create many practical playgrounds, enhance education combining family and school to raise awareness of the "virtual" world for students. When students have the right awareness, they will act correctly, avoiding the situation of living in a "virtual" world./.
