Maradona, now 56 years old, has stopped coaching since 2012 after unsuccessfully leading the UAE club Al Wasl.
Before that, this legend led the Argentine team for 2 years from 2008 to 2010 to participate in the 2010 World Cup, reaching the quarter-finals but losing to Germany 0-4. After this World Cup, Mr. Maradona was under a lot of pressure and eventually had to leave.
However, the former player's coaching career continued to be unsuccessful, so he stopped coaching for many years to enjoy the countryside with his family. Recently, Mr. Maradona took on the job of advisor to the World Football Federation (FIFA).
However, surprisingly, earlier this week, Mr. Maradona was announced as the new head coach of Al-Fujairah Club. Al-Fujairah Club currently plays in the UAE second division.
