During a sightseeing trip to Sicily, Italy with the spouses of leaders attending the G7 summit, Mrs. Melania Trump attracted public attention when wearing a Dolce & Gabbana coat worth 51,000 USD, reported the Washington Post.

The 3D floral shirt is from the fall 2017 collection of two Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

Although it has not yet been released to the market, according to high-end fashion site Moda Operandi, the shirt is already sold out. To own this shirt, customers must deposit 25,750 USD.

Accompanying President Donald Trump on his first foreign trip, Melania often wore monochrome and dark colors.

But at the last stop of the trip, Mrs. Melina completely changed her style and chose to wear a floral coat. According to fashion experts, this is the most expensive item of clothing that Mrs. Trump has worn during the 9-day trip.

The coat is worth just a little less than the average American income of $56,600 in 2015, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

By law, the U.S. government does not pay for the clothing of the first lady. However, the president’s wife can receive dresses from fashion houses to wear at government events, but must then turn them over to the National Archives.

Many speculated that Dolce & Gabbana may have gifted the expensive coat to Mrs. Trump, or that the first lady paid for it herself. The White House has yet to comment on the coat.
