Iran ships 450 tons of food to Qatar
Iran Air has sent five planes carrying fruit and vegetables to Qatar, as neighboring countries cut ties with Doha.

"So far, there are 5 planes carrying food such as fresh fruits and vegetables to Qatar, each plane carrying about 90 tons, another plane will be sent to continue," AFP quoted today.Shahrokh Noushabadi, spokesman for the companyIran Air said.
According toNoushabadi, Iran alsocontinue to ship to Qatar as Doha still has demand, howeverIt is not clear whether this is aid or export.
At the same time, three ships with 350 tons of food are also about to leave Iranian ports for Qatar, the news agency reported.Tasnim quoted local officials as saying.
Iran's move comes asSaudi Arabia,Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt and Yemen announced on June 5 that they were cutting all ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism. This isthe biggest diplomatic crisis in the region in recent times.
Iran has urged Qatar and its neighbors to talk to resolve their differences.
In another development, Iran has opened its airspace to about 100 Qatari flights per day, after countries banned Qatari planes from operating.The new flights have increased Iran's air traffic by about 17%.
