The workshop was introduced by UNIDO senior expert on corporate social responsibility (CSR) - Mr. Flirian Beranek with the main contents that businesses need to know: Trade and economic relations between EU - ASEAN; Bilateral trade of goods between EU - Vietnam; Main export products of Vietnam to EU in 2016; Bilateral negotiations between EU - Vietnam; Roadmap for tariff reduction - liberalization.
At the workshop, Nghe An enterprises introduced the potential of diverse and rich local agricultural and industrial products, which have long been exported to many countries around the world.
Therefore, before the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement takes effect, we would like to receive support from experts on the necessary conditions, especially consulting on procedures for importing and exporting goods from Vietnam to European Union countries and vice versa, so that Nghe An enterprises' products have the opportunity to be exported to Europe.

Responding to questions from businesses, Mr. Flirian Beranek said: Goods imported to the European Union require very strict quality and design; paperwork and procedures are very complicated, businesses need to carefully study information on import and export procedures through Europe.
In Nghe An, there are mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, so exporting goods to European Union countries is a challenge, because currently, goods exported to the European Union must meet ISO 20600 standards.
