Government leaders and 4 Ministers answer questions

At the question-and-answer session of the 3rd session of the 12th National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers Truong Hoa Binh, Vuong Dinh Hue, Vu Duc Dam, Trinh Dinh Dung, and the 4 Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Health; and Planning and Investment will answer questions from National Assembly deputies. At the end of the question-and-answer session, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc assigned Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh to answer questions from National Assembly deputies on his behalf.

The National Assembly Electronic Information Portal said that the question and answer sessions will be held over 3 days (June 13-15). The sessions will be televised and broadcast live.

According to the meeting agenda, early Tuesday morning, June 13, after National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan delivered the opening speech of the question and answer session, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee's Petition Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai presented a report on the results of supervising the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 2nd Session of the 14th National Assembly.

Next, in the remaining working session of the morning until 3:00 p.m., the National Assembly Chairman will preside over the questioning of the first group of issues with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong.

The content of the questioning includes: Breakthrough solutions and roadmap for effective restructuring of the agricultural sector in the coming time; Measures to improve product quality, efficiency and competitiveness, linking production with product consumption, aiming to build commodity agriculture, develop sustainable agriculture; Conservation, protection, regeneration and development of aquatic resources, management of aquatic exploitation activities.

During the questioning process of Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, on behalf of the Prime Minister, answered questions under the general responsibility of the Government. The Ministers and Heads of sectors also participated in answering questions: Planning and Investment, Finance, State Bank of Vietnam, Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Transport, Science and Technology. In addition, other Ministers and Heads of sectors answered related contents under their responsibilities (if any).

* After concluding the questioning session with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, from 15.05, the National Assembly Chairman will continue to preside over the second questioning session with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien.

The questions include: Management and licensing of cultural and artistic activities; exploitation and use of cultural and sports facilities; festival organization; Solutions to prevent the degradation of social ethics and behavioral culture; building a cultural lifestyle and preserving and developing social culture; Management work and solutions to improve the quality of tourism planning.

During the questioning process of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, on behalf of the Prime Minister, answered questions under the general responsibility of the Government; other Ministers and heads of sectors participating in answering questions included: Planning and Investment, Finance, Public Security, Education and Training. Other Ministers and heads of sectors answered related issues under their responsibilities (if any).

* From 10:00 a.m. on June 14, after finishing the group of questions for the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Assembly Chairwoman presided over the third group of questions for the Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.

The content of the questioning includes: Current situation and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of medical examination and treatment; Drug prices and state management of drug prices and drug supply at medical examination and treatment facilities; Investment in grassroots health care to reduce the burden on upper-level hospitals; Current situation of grassroots health care staff, especially in mountainous areas and areas with particularly difficult economic conditions.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, on behalf of the Prime Minister, answered questions under the general responsibility of the Government. Ministers and heads of sectors also participated in answering questions, including: Finance, Planning and Investment, Home Affairs, and the Ethnic Committee. Other Ministers and heads of sectors answered related issues under their responsibilities (if any).

* From 16:25, the National Assembly Chairman will deliver a concluding speech on the group of questions for the Minister of Health. After that, the National Assembly Chairman will preside over the fourth group of questions for the Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.

The questions include: Specific solutions to mobilize social resources for development investment; Allocation and notification of investment capital plans from the state budget; strengthening management, control, and avoiding waste in public investment; Responsibilities of ministries and branches in implementing key national projects.

In this group of issues, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, on behalf of the Prime Minister, answered questions under the general responsibility of the Government. The following ministers and heads of sectors participated in answering questions: Finance, Construction, Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Health, Education and Training, Science and Technology. Other ministers and heads of sectors answered questions related to their responsibilities (if any).

From 8:00 to 11:20 on June 15, the Minister of Planning and Investment and members of the Government continued to answer questions on the fourth group of questions. At the end of the morning session, the National Assembly Chairman delivered a concluding speech on the group of questions for the Minister of Planning and Investment.

In the afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:05 p.m., Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh will speak to clarify and directly answer questions from National Assembly deputies on related issues under the Government's responsibility during the question-and-answer sessions from June 13 to 15.

From 16:45 to 17:00, the National Assembly Chairman will deliver a closing speech at the question and answer session.
