Nghia Dan: Established 25 volunteer teams to prevent and fight forest fires

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 29, Nghia Dan District Youth Union organized the establishment of a volunteer youth team to participate in forest fire prevention and control in 2017 at Nghia Thinh Commune Youth Union. This is the 25th unit established by Nghia Dan District Youth Union in recent times.

The shock team consists of 10 youth union members, shock troops in hamlets and villages in the commune with activities focusing on propagating forest protection conventions to the community and forest owners.

The team also plants trees, especially in hot weather, actively participates in repairing and building firebreaks; prepares on-site shock forces, vehicles, logistics, and is ready to respond if a forest fire occurs.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, more than 200 youth union members of the Northwest cluster of Nghia Dan district participated in clearing vegetation and making firebreaks in the mountainous area of ​​Nghia Thinh commune.
