A South Korean politician has taken the internet by storm with his feather-light entrance.

Mr Kim Moo-sung threw his suitcase to an assistant as he walked through the arrivals gate of Gimpo airport in Seoul and smiled at photographers, Daily Mail reported.

A clip of Moo-sung's actions quickly went viral online, with some netizens condemning it as a typical example of the middle-aged politician abusing his power.

His actions were even compared by the Korean media to the careless passing style of a basketball player.

South Korean website Naver was also flooded with comments saying the video "reflected the naked face of politicians".

"This is how he treats his subordinates! I wonder how he acts when no one is around!", one user wrote.

On Reddit, the video was titled "Korean Politician's Suitcase" and attracted a lot of responses aimed at the assistant.

"You can see him bowing his head as he walked over to pick up the suitcase," one person commented. "Say thank you to the man who just picked up the suitcase for you," another added.

Commenting on the comments on social media, Mr. Kim Moo-sung calmly said: "I don't see any problem. Reporters should focus on their work or other important news."

This is not the first time Mr. Moo-sung has been the center of public discussion. In 2015, he was criticized for making comments about the skin color of a Nigerian student at a charity.
