(Baonghean.vn)- While digging for gold in Khe Quynh village, Xieng My commune, Mr. Tran Thiet Loc, residing in Hoa Dong block, Hoa Binh town (Tuong Duong, Nghe An) dug up a bronze turtle with many strange characters.

Mr. Tran Thiet Loc said that at around 3:00 p.m. on June 22, while digging for gold in Khe Quynh village, Xieng My commune (Tuong Duong), he dug up a bronze turtle about 8cm long and 5cm wide. The turtle's shell was carved with many different patterns, and its belly was carved with many images that looked quite similar to the Thai Lai Pao characters.

Although the age of this bronze turtle has not been determined, many people have come to buy it but Mr. Loc has not sold it yet.

It is known that 2 months ago, at this location, Mr. Loc dug up 6 porcelain bowls, identified as dating from the Le Dynasty and 1 bronze box believed to be used to hold lime for chewing betel from the Ly Dynasty. Mr. Loc sold the 6 bowls and the bronze box to a person in Con Cuong district for 12,600,000 VND./.
