Quynh Luu: Recovering nearly 38,000m2 of land used for the wrong purpose

(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities of Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) have discovered 99 cases of land use violations.wrong purposewith a total area of ​​nearly 38,000m2.

Violations were concentrated in the communes of Quynh Ba, Quynh Hong, Quynh Hung, Quynh Doi and Quynh Tan. Of these, 11 cases involved land encroachment and 88 cases involved the misuse of agricultural land and protective forest land.

Implementing the policy of attracting investment in production and business, Quynh Luu district has always paid attention to and encouraged businesses and households to boldly develop the economy. Many policies prioritize land conversion and loosen procedures to facilitate people's transactions. However, taking advantage of loopholes in local land resource management, some individuals and units have used land for the wrong purposes, causing waste of land resources.

Based on the inspection results of specialized departments, the District People's Committee has directed the resolute handling of land violations. Specifically, in 2016 and early 2017, the District People's Committee canceled 9 projects that wasted land resources with an area of ​​over 38,000 m2; coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to inspect and recover 4 provincial-level projects with a total area of ​​nearly 50,000 m2 of land.

Establish an inspection team to direct the dismantling and suspension of hundreds of households violating the regulations in the communes of Quynh Hong, Quynh Ba, Quynh Tan, Quynh Thach, Ngoc Son, An Hoa, etc. At the same time, the district also issued a document directing communes and towns to review 5% of land, land that is difficult to transfer or divide, to propose solutions for handling in the coming time. Establish an inspection team, issue a directive on strengthening the management of land and mineral resources in the area, and resolutely handle violations.
