According to the assessment of the Provincial Cooperative Union, 269/616 cooperatives operate effectively (accounting for 43.66%); 332/616 cooperatives operate at a low level (accounting for 53.89%); 15 cooperatives are waiting for dissolution (accounting for 2.43%).
The reason why most cooperatives operate at a low level is that after the conversion under the 2012 Law on Cooperatives, many cooperatives, especially in the small-scale agricultural sector, have not yet built a brand for their products, their business activities are not very effective, and the application of scientific and technical advances in production, processing and consumption of products for members and farmers is still very limited...
At the same time, the coordination between cooperatives and departments, branches and localities in developing new-style cooperatives has not been as effective as expected. In response to this reality, the Provincial Cooperative Union is actively coordinating to build a chain of links, establish Cooperative Unions, and play a good role as a bridge for cooperatives to promote trade and expand markets.
Cooperatives in Nghe An currently attract 265,612 members and 52,162 regular workers. Total charter capital of cooperatives: 216,224.4 million VND, an average of 336.27 million/cooperative. Of the current 616 cooperatives, there are 430 agricultural service cooperatives; 127 non-agricultural cooperatives, 59 credit funds... |
