Uncle Ho left to find a way to save the country and the turning point of the Vietnamese revolution
(Baonghean.vn) - 106 years ago, on June 5, 1911, the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh, with his strong will and deep love for his nation, determined to leave to fulfill his ambition of liberating the country from the slavery of colonialism and imperialism.
The failure of the Vietnamese patriotic movements that broke out in the late 19th and early 20th centuries caused the Vietnamese revolution to be in crisis regarding the path to national liberation. The patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh soon realized that the path opened by his predecessors would not liberate the nation. Not repeating the failures of his predecessors was difficult, but finding a new path that conformed to the laws of historical development, bringing independence and freedom to the nation was much more difficult.

And on June 5, 1911, on the ship Amiral Latouche Tréville, from Saigon port, Nguyen Tat Thanh left the Fatherland, starting a 30-year journey to find a way to liberate the nation, to liberate the country. At that time, no one knew that the fate of the Vietnamese people was tied to the decision to leave of a man whose history has proven to be extraordinarily wise.
With a special sensitivity, Nguyen Tat Thanh did not go to Japan, did not go to Asia, but went to France, to the country that was ruling him, to Europe, where there was a great development in economy, culture, and politics to see how people were doing and then return to help his compatriots. He left with only his love for his country, his deep love for his people, and his determination to find a way to save his people.

After his time in France, Nguyen Tat Thanh continued his journey through many other continents. Throughout his journey, the hardships of life did not discourage him, but on the contrary, tempered and fostered his ardent patriotism with the steadfast goal of national liberation. He took advantage of every opportunity to learn and research revolutionary theories, immersing himself in the practical struggles of the working class and laborers in capitalist and colonial countries.
It was patriotism, along with years of tireless research into theory and activities in the international workers' movement, that led the young Vietnamese man Nguyen Tat Thanh, despite all dangers, to Marxism-Leninism, becoming the outstanding international activist Nguyen Ai Quoc.

Early realizing the inevitable development trend of history and the nature of the new era opened by the October Revolution, he discovered the truth that "Only socialism and communism can liberate oppressed peoples and working people around the world from slavery."
In 1917, Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to France, lived in Paris, participated in the activities of the French Socialist Party, and participated in the activities of Vietnamese patriots in France. And especially, when he came across Lenin's Theses on the National and Colonial Questions, he achieved what he was looking for. Lenin's Theses pointed out what he was looking for, that is, only socialism, only proletarian revolution is the way to liberate us.

After 30 years of wandering, on January 28, 1941, Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to the country to directly lead the revolutionary struggle. He pointed out that, in the specific conditions of Vietnam, the only path to follow was the path of national democratic revolution led by the vanguard party of the working class to overthrow imperialism and colonialism, gain national independence, and then move forward to carry out the socialist revolution.
National independence associated with socialism is a creative application of Marxism-Leninism, demonstrating the law of historical development of Vietnamese society, becoming a consistent viewpoint in the entire ideology and revolutionary career of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh. That is the revolutionary path for our nation that he chose. Historical reality has proven that choice is a historical choice, the only correct choice, there can be no second choice.

Under the light of Ho Chi Minh's thought, generations of Vietnamese people have firmly walked on the path he chose. That is the path of national independence and socialism, a path with a timeless vision, leading our country and people to overcome countless difficulties and challenges, going from one victory to another, gaining national independence, unifying the country, carrying out the renovation process, carrying out industrialization and modernization, escaping from underdeveloped countries, gradually moving forward to "stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers", realizing a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
