In the last days of June, in the scorching heat of the Central region's hot wind, we joined the flow of people from all over the country coming to Truong Bon Historical Site. Mr. Hoang Kim Lieu (born in 1950), a former Youth Volunteer Soldier from Hai Lang District (Hai Le, Quang Tri) was moved: The first time I visited Truong Bon Historical Site, I was able to light incense sticks to commemorate my fallen comrades, it was truly touching.
As for veteran Tran Ngoc Hue (Le Chan district - Hai Phong city), who was stationed in My Son commune (Do Luong), he was very emotional because this was the first time in decades that he had the opportunity to return to the land that was once a war zone and had many memories attached to him. Road 15A has now been expanded, houses on both sides of the road are close together, more shops have sprung up, a rhythm of urban life is gradually appearing here, as if to cover up the sun, wind, and the bare brutality of war. And what warms his heart the most is that the old Truong Bon has now become a historical relic site, invested in and planned to become a sacred, majestic space, both having profound educational significance and becoming a source tourism destination that anyone coming to Do Luong, Nghe An will seek out...
