Actor Kim Woo Bin has nasopharyngeal cancer
Korean cinema fans have just received shocking news. Famous actor Kim Woo Bin has been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and has begun treatment.
According to the Korea Herald, on the afternoon of May 24, management company Sidus HQ announced: “Kim Woo Bin felt unwell so he went to see a doctor. We found out that he has nasopharyngeal cancer. The disease is still in the early stages and he has started taking medication and receiving radiation therapy. Please support him.”
Sidus HQ also said that in the coming time, Kim Woo Bin will focus on treatment. Before discovering his illness, Kim Woo Bin was preparing to film a new movie titled Docheong. The production team said that they will temporarily suspend filming to wait for Kim Woo Bin to recover.
Earlier this year, Kim Woo Bin also suffered a back injury due to overtraining.

Originally a model with a height of over 1.8 m, Kim Woo Bin started acting from the movie White Christmas but only really became famous through the supporting male role in the hit work The Heirs in 2013.
In 2016, Kim Woo Bin starred alongside screen beauty Suzy in the drama Uncontrollably Fond. His character also suffered from terminal cancer. Despite a large investment, the drama failed in terms of viewership ratings.
