Bao Viet Life supports International Yoga Day in Vietnam

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 2, 2017, at Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo town, Nghe An, a Yoga performance took place with more than 600 people.

The event is part of a series of 09 events to celebrate International Yoga Day June 21 in Vietnam and the Vietnam - India Friendship Year on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership between the two countries, taking place from June 17 to July 2, 2017 in 09 provinces and cities.

The series of events were organized by the Embassy of India in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the City People's Committee, Bao Viet Life and agencies and associations in the provinces and cities to spread Yoga, bringing health and happiness to the community. The International Yoga Day celebration was also held early in the morning of the same day in Dong Nai, and before that in Hanoi, Can Tho, Da Nang, Vinh Phuc, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.

In the bustling and exciting atmosphere of nearly 1,000 people present at Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo town, the International Yoga Day celebration took place from 19:00 with the focus on the Collective Yoga performance of more than 600 people in peaceful blue shirts and relaxed, graceful movements. The event attracted a large number of people to watch. In the hustle and bustle of modern life, space and time seemed to slow down at the Yoga performance, gently spreading a positive and peaceful spirit.

Speaking about Yoga, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi affirmed: “Yoga is a priceless gift of ancient Indian tradition. It represents the unity of mind and body; between thought and action; between restraint and perfection; represents the harmony between man and nature; is a comprehensive method for health and well-being”. At the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam also sent the message: “Yoga can make a positive change to world harmony, peace and peace. Today, Yoga is also helping to unite our humanity, bringing us closer together”.

“This event is an opportunity for Yoga lovers to freely express their love for this subject, inspire positive living, raise awareness of protecting their own health, nurture peace of mind, and together build a healthy, bright-spirited community. That is also our goal in the program “Protecting Vietnamese Health” and the journey to fulfill the mission of bringing peace and prosperity to every family.” said the representative of Bao Viet Life Corporation.

The performance program with more than 600 Yoga lovers from Yoga clubs in the city and neighboring provinces not only brings memorable moments to the participants when immersing themselves in nature, but also brings invisible connections between practitioners, raising awareness for the general public about health protection and spreading the spirit and inspiration of positive living. In addition, the participants also enjoy artistic Yoga performances by Yoga masters from Vietnam and India.

In the series of 09 programs, at some events, Yoga practitioners who participated in the performance also received gifts of Yoga mats from Bao Viet Life, and books.“Popular Yoga Protocol”Published by the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) – Government of India, sponsored by Bao Viet Life. This is a useful book for the introduction to Yoga, general guidance on Yoga practice and basic exercises to help people have a healthy life, keep emotions peaceful and mind clear.

Aiming at the goal of “Protecting Vietnamese Health”, Bao Viet Life hopes that the book will contribute to introducing and spreading Yoga therapy to all Vietnamese people. Also within the framework of the “Protecting Vietnamese Health” program, Bao Viet Life will organize health consultation programs with prestigious doctors nationwide, starting from June 23, 2017, seminars on health topics and healthy lifestyles. The program in Nghe An officially ended the series of 09 events celebrating International Yoga Day in Vietnam in 2017. Hopefully, the series of programs has helped people not only at the event locations, but all Vietnamese people to understand more about Yoga, spreading the spirit of positive living with a healthy body and peaceful mind.
