Arrested a group of subjects who committed 10 orchid thefts

Following the people's complaints, Tan Ky district police deployed forces to detect and arrest a group of 6 people who stole orchids in the district.

6 subjects aged from 17 to 23 years old include: Pham Van Thai (born in 1990), residing in block 9, Lat town; Nguyen Van Phuong (born in 1994); Phan Cong Hoang (born in 2000); Hoang Nghia Dung (born in 1993), all residing in Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky; Dang Xuan Anh (born in 1999), residing in Tan Tho hamlet, Nghia Dung; Le Dinh Hoa (born in 2000), residing in hamlet 9, Gia De, Nghia Dung is the ringleader, has 01 previous conviction for property theft.

Tan Ky police seized evidence including 24 orchid pots worth about 30 million VND and returned them to the owner.

At the police station, the subjects confessed that every night, this group divided into many groups, each group consisting of 2 subjects, in which, mainly Le Dinh Hoa participated.

Taking advantage of the darkness, they chose families with beautiful orchids, then climbed over the fence to steal them. In just a short time, they committed 10 orchid thefts in Tan Ky district.

Most recently, on the night of May 10, they broke into two houses and stole six orchid pots, then sold them. They handed over all the stolen orchids to Hoang and Dung to find buyers, and divided the money for personal expenses.

Currently, Tan Ky District Police are continuing to investigate, clarify and prepare records to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
