Murdered someone out of blind jealousy

Believing that the person he was living with was the reason his girlfriend broke up with him, Trung asked 5 young men to bring knives to slash the victim in the middle of the street.

On June 28, Hoan Kiem District Police, Hanoi prosecuted Nguyen Viet Trung and five other young men for intentionally causing injury.

Around March 2016, Trung and Quynh had a relationship. During their relationship, Quynh told Trung to let Quoc stay with her.

Earlier this year, a conflict arose between Trung and his girlfriend. Quynh took the initiative to break up but was not accepted. Trung thought that Quoc was the one who interfered in his relationship so he wanted to beat him up.

After asking a friend to monitor Mr. Quoc's movements, on March 12, Trung received information that Mr. Quoc was driving his ex-girlfriend on Tran Duy Hung Street (Cau Giay District). Trung prepared two iron rods and chased Mr. Quoc, hitting the victim in the head.

After the above warning, on March 26, Trung was informed by his friend that Quoc was taking Quynh to Hoan Kiem Lake area, so he mobilized more friends to beat the victim. They approached Quoc on Hang Dau street and slashed the victim's left wrist.

Anh Quoc reported the slashing to the Criminal Police Department and said that Trung was the perpetrator. On June 20, the police arrested Trung and his accomplices. The case was then transferred to the Hoan Kiem District Police for handling according to their authority.

Authorities determined that Mr. Quoc's injuries were 14%.
