The leader of the Ha Tinh Border Guard said that on June 5, this unit coordinated with functional forces to arrest two cases of illegal drug transportation from Laos to Vietnam.

Specifically, at around 2:30 p.m. on June 5, at the entry and exit lane of Cau Treo International Border Gate, Huong Son District (Ha Tinh), the Ha Tinh Border Guard force coordinated with the Cau Treo International Border Gate Customs Sub-Department and Huong Son District Police to detect a suspect traveling on a Cuong Quynh passenger bus with Lao license plate UN-2043 from Laos to Vietnam. Upon checking the subject and his luggage, the authorities seized 1,268 synthetic drug pills.

At the investigation agency, the subject confessed his name was Tran Dinh Loc (born in 1983, residing in Xuan Loc commune, Can Loc, Ha Tinh). Loc was hired by a Laotian to transport the drugs to Nghe An province for 8 million VND.

On the same day, also at Cau Treo International Border Gate, Ha Tinh Border Guard force continued to catch Trinh Dinh Tri (born in 1967, residing in Phu Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh, Nghe An) transporting 189 synthetic drug pills on a sleeper bus with Lao license plate UN - 5678 from Laos to Vietnam. Trinh Dinh Tri confessed that he bought the above drugs from a Lao person and then transported them to Vietnam to sell for profit.

Currently, the Ha Tinh Border Guard force is coordinating with other functional forces to continue investigating and clarifying the two cases according to the provisions of the law./.
