According to initial information, at around 9am on June 17, 3 students rode their bicycles to the ecological lake in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city to play. Here, they discovered a fish swimming in the lake, a 4th grade student went down to catch it, but unexpectedly due to the steep slope, the male student jumped into the water.

Seeing this, the two friends who were with him called the locals for help. However, when they arrived, the boy was already dead. It is known that these three students all live in Dong Vinh ward, and had summer break so they invited each other to come here to play.

According to observations, although the lake is more than 2 meters deep, there are no barriers or warning signs. Local people said that this is the first death at this lake. Previously, there were many cases of students drowning while playing here but fortunately they were saved.

After receiving the news, the victim's relatives came to take the body home for burial.
