Touching art program 'Night of listening to boat singing, remembering Uncle Ho'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of June 10, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City), on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to his hometown (June 14, 1957 - June 14, 2017), Voice of Vietnam Radio, VTC Digital Television in coordination with Nghe An Provincial People's Committee organized the program "Night of listening to boat singing to remember Uncle Ho".

Attending the program, on the Central side, there were Politburo members: Vuong Dinh Hue - Deputy Prime Minister; Vo Van Thuong - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Comrades of the Party Central Committee: Uong Chu Luu - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Phan Dinh Trac - Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee; Thuan Huu - Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Phan Xuan Dung - Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment; Tran Hong Ha - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; Le Thanh Long - Minister of Justice; Nguyen The Ky - General Director of the Voice of Vietnam; Also attending were Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien and representatives of the leaders of Ha Tinh, Lang Son and Yen Bai provinces.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

On June 14, 1957, after 50 years of leaving his homeland to find a way to save the country, Uncle Ho had the opportunity to visit his hometown Nghe An again. The anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to his hometown is a reminder of the Vietnamese people's gratitude to their beloved Father, a time to be proud of Nghe An, a land of talented people, to love their homeland and country more.

With that meaning, “Night listening to the boat singing, remembering Uncle Ho” was built on a grand scale. This is a comprehensive art program, the story is led by poetry, the songs are arranged in a new way with the participation of many famous artists such as Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Trong Tan, Tan Nhan, Bui Le Man…

The program's content consists of 3 parts: From Sen Village, Uncle Ho's Love Brightens Our Lives, and He Returns to His Hometown. The program's structure is harmonious, recreating the childhood image of the boy Nguyen Sinh Cung in Nam Dan, to the time he was wandering to find a way to save the country and recalling the memory of Uncle Ho's first visit to his hometown after decades of wandering for the independence and freedom of the nation.

The program fully mobilizes the strengths of all performance genres, especially highlighting Nghe Tinh folk songs, bringing many emotions to the audience.
