Mr. Nguyen Huu Tam, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Head of the interdisciplinary delegation, said: Up to this point, the interdisciplinary delegation has inspected more than 50 mineral exploitation enterprises, mainly sand, soil and rock exploitation, which still have many violations in the exploitation process compared to regulations. Thereby, the delegation resolutely handled violations of mineral exploitation enterprises, imposing administrative fines of over 300 million VND.
Through inspection of enterprises, many problems were discovered, first of all, some sand mines concentrated in Tan Ky, Nam Dan, and Hung Nguyen districts did not fulfill environmental protection commitments and did not conduct periodic environmental monitoring.

There are no markers in sand mining and there are places where markers are set but not maintained, causing difficulties for the monitoring and inspection agencies. There are signs of exploitation beyond the boundary, causing conflicts within the enterprises. Specifically, in Tan Ky district, there are 12 sand mines, of which 2 units exploit beyond the boundary: Hai An Trading Service Company Limited and Duc Hoang Company.
In the use of labor contracts, many units do not pay attention to occupational safety training.
Regarding the quarries, there are still businesses that have not exploited according to the approved design process. Through the inspection, the delegation pointed out specific violations of the businesses and required the businesses to correct them within 30 days of reporting to the state management agency.
