Born into a working-class family in Quang Trung block, Nam Dan town, his father worked as a hired worker, his mother worked hard selling sticky rice in the morning. It seemed that he understood his parents' hardships. Since childhood, Phan Cong Tuan Anh not only studied by himself but also helped his parents with housework and taking care of his two younger siblings.

During each summer vacation, Tuan Anh also tries to find a job to earn more money to pay for his tuition. Nguyen Thi Phuong - Tuan Anh's mother said: "I work in corn and corn so I have to do a lot of chores from cleaning beans, cleaning sticky rice to making fire. Tuan Anh always rolls up his sleeves to help his mother, not hesitating to do anything, especially when it rains and winds, he takes all the work from his mother. Many times I tell him to focus on studying so that his mother can do it alone, but he always says that he can study after finishing his work."

With a relaxed and persistent learning mentality, accumulating knowledge one by one instead of studying hard before exams, and not focusing on achievements, Tuan Anh is always a formidable "opponent" of his classmates.

Sharing his study secret, Tuan Anh said: "I always do all the exercises in the textbook, think carefully, find many ways to solve them to come up with the fastest solution, from there I have a method for each type of exercise. In addition, arranging time scientifically and reasonably is the secret to help me achieve high efficiency in studying."

Therefore, Tuan Anh's academic results are truly admirable when his average score for all 3 years has been excellent, he has always been at the top in tests and mock exams in 3 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry and the title of valedictorian of Uncle Ho's hometown was fully won by Phan Cong Tuan Anh with a score of 29.55 in the 2017 National High School Exam.

Ms. Trinh Thi Dieu Thuy - Principal of Nam Dan I High School added: "Class 12C1 has 9 students with scores above 27 in groups A, A1, B, along with Tuan Anh who scored 10 in Physics, there is 1 student who scored 10 in Chemistry.

In particular, the joy of Nam Dan I High School this year was multiplied by the fact that the whole school had 14 students scoring over 27 points in all exam groups, while in previous years only 1-2 students scored 27 points. This is the highest result ever.
