(Baonghean.vn) - With a score of 29.55 (Mathematics 9.8, Physics 10, Chemistry 9.75) achieved in the National High School Graduation Examination, Phan Cong Tuan Anh, class 12C1, Nam Dan I High School, has become the highest-scoring student in Nam Dan district.

This morning, Tuan Anh's mother's sticky rice stall was busier and more lively than usual because many people had heard about his high score. Unable to hide her joy, Ms. Phuong, Tuan Anh's mother, smiled and chatted while quickly preparing food for customers.

Born into a working-class family in Quang Trung Ward, Nam Dan Town, Phan Cong Tuan Anh's father worked as a laborer, and his mother toiled selling sticky rice every morning. Seemingly understanding his parents' hardships, from a young age Phan Cong Tuan Anh not only studied independently but also helped his parents with household chores and taking care of his two younger siblings.

During each summer vacation, Tuan Anh also takes advantage of the opportunity to find work to earn extra money for tuition fees. His mother, Nguyen Thi Phuong, said: "I work selling corn, so there are many odd jobs from sorting beans and sticky rice to tending the fire. Tuan Anh always rolls up his sleeves to help me, never hesitating, especially when it's raining or windy; he takes over all the work from me. Many times I tell him to focus on his studies so I can do everything alone, but he always says he can study after he finishes the work."

With a relaxed and persistent learning attitude, accumulating knowledge little by little rather than cramming before exams, and not placing too much emphasis on achievements, Tuan Anh has always been a formidable "rival" to his classmates.

Sharing his study secrets, Tuan Anh said: "I always complete all the exercises in the textbook, think carefully, and find multiple ways to solve them in order to come up with the quickest solution, thus developing a method for each type of problem. In addition, managing my time scientifically and efficiently is the secret to my high academic achievement."

Therefore, Tuan Anh's academic achievements are truly something to be proud of, as he consistently achieved excellent grades for all three years. He always topped the tests and mock exams in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and earned the title of valedictorian from Ho Chi Minh City with a score of 29.55 in the 2017 National High School Graduation Examination.

Commenting on her outstanding student, Ms. Le Thi Van - the homeroom teacher - shared: "Tuan Anh has a solid academic record, excelling in all subjects, and consistently achieving high scores in mock exams, so I wasn't surprised by the results."

Ms. Trinh Thi Dieu Thuy, Principal of Nam Dan I High School, added: “Class 12C1 has 9 students who scored above 27 in the A, A1, and B exam blocks. Along with Tuan Anh who scored 10 in Physics, there is one student who scored 10 in Chemistry.”

"In particular, the joy of Nam Dan I High School this year is multiplied many times over because the entire school has 14 students who scored over 27 points in all exam subjects, whereas in previous years only 1-2 students achieved 27 points. This is the highest result ever."

This initial achievement is just a small milestone on his journey to conquer knowledge. Tuan Anh has now enrolled in the Military Technical Academy, and with his determination and tireless efforts, it is believed that in the not too distant future, this top-scoring student from President Ho Chi Minh's hometown will become a military engineer, serving the Fatherland.
