The purpose of the Judy malware is to take control of Android devices, causing them to automatically click on ads without the user's knowledge. As a result, those behind it can reap huge illicit profits.
The Judy malware is believed to originate from an app development company in South Korea. However, similar attacks have also occurred on other software. This shows that Google's censorship is still quite lax.
The Judy malware-infected software has now been removed from the Play Store.
