Provincial Party Secretary worried about the growth target of 8-9%
(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking to leaders of district, city and town Party Committees at 21 connecting points in the province, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that the issue the province is most worried about in the last 6 months of the year is ensuring the growth target of 8-9% this year.

At the meeting with Party Secretaries of cities, towns and cities on the morning of July 7, the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that in the summer, many localities arranging for officials to go on vacation is a legitimate need; however, in principle, it must be ensured that Party Secretaries and Chairmen of district, city and city Party Committees cannot go at the same time.
On the morning of July 7, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held an online meeting with the Standing Committees of district, city and town Party Committees on the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and deployment of key tasks in the last 6 months of 2017. Comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the conference. Also attending were comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments and branches of the province. |
Standing committee members also need to be arranged and assigned reasonably, and should not all go to avoid affecting the leadership, direction and management of local work. "It is necessary to arrange reasonably to ensure timely resolution of work" - the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
Regarding tourism, it is assessed that this industry has strong growth this year, but Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also noted that localities must propagate and orient businesses at tourist destinations not to "overcharge" on prices to ensure long-term effectiveness and reputation with tourists when coming to Nghe An.
In addition, speaking to leaders of district, city and town Party Committees at 21 connecting points in the province, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that the issue the province is most worried about in the last 6 months of the year is ensuring the growth target of 8-9% this year.
The Provincial People's Committee has proposed two growth scenarios for leaders to implement. However, in addition to the province's efforts, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that localities make efforts, especially in disbursing investment capital, focusing on the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction and new rural construction according to the motto of not only speed but also effective use; at the same time, reviewing and removing difficulties to promote growth.
On the other hand, the province needs to promote the progress of major projects, so localities should work with the province to do a good job of site clearance; urge and implement projects; guide and support faster procedures, promote investment attraction, especially pay special attention to removing difficulties for businesses; and at the same time resolutely fight against tax losses.

Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also noted that localities should carefully study and guide people in agricultural production to avoid the situation of good harvest and low prices; effectively prevent forest fires; and focus on monitoring food hygiene and safety, especially at the commune level to strictly and effectively implement.
On the other hand, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh also suggested doing a good job of preventing drowning for students with the solution of both teaching swimming and providing safety instructions for children to avoid tragic accidents; and strictly managing mineral exploitation.
Regarding Party building work, the Provincial Party Secretary requested localities to continue to effectively implement Project No. 01 - DA/TU, dated August 10, 2016 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee (term XVIII) on "Building Party cells, developing Party members in blocks, hamlets, and villages without Party cells, without Party members, and blocks, hamlets, and villages at risk of no longer having Party cells in the period 2016 - 2020"; strictly implement the Provincial Party Committee's directives on thrift and anti-waste; improve the quality of Party cell activities; direct the overcoming of shortcomings and limitations after reviewing Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII).
In particular, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh requested localities to organize for the commune level to carry out dialogue well between the Chairman of the People's Council and People's Committee at the commune level and the people; the team of cadres must regularly closely follow and grasp the thoughts and feelings of the masses and people.
In the first 6 months of the year, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 6.9% over the same period. Among the three economic sectors, agriculture, forestry, fishery and industry-construction had higher growth rates than the same period last year. Estimated budget revenue was 5,634 billion VND. In the cultural and social fields, in the first 6 months of the year, the province recognized 37 more schools meeting national standards and 111 national excellent students. However, there are still difficulties and limitations such as the number of enterprises closing tax codes and temporarily suspending business is still high. Some key industrial products such as sugar, draft beer, bottled beer, yogurt... have low growth rates and decrease compared to the same period. |
Previously, speaking at the meeting, after listening to opinions from localities at the connecting points, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son assessed that the first 6 months of the year had achieved many important progresses, especially growth and budget revenue increased higher than the same period.
However, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized: Despite efforts, achieving the growth target from now until the end of the year requires great and drastic efforts from the province to localities.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son also requested localities to pay attention to promoting key programs and projects, improving the efficiency of attracting investment; coordinate to resolve the health insurance fund deficit; and prepare well for provincial defense drills.

In particular, with the motto "economic development is the focus, Party building is the key", the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that localities need to continue to pay attention to implementing the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (12th term) in conjunction with Directive 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; promote surveys to develop a Project on restructuring the apparatus with a decisive attitude to make the apparatus truly streamlined and effective; pay more attention to personnel work, especially paying attention to new points in the personnel planning; the process of appointing officials to implement well; promote administrative reform.
