After all, Conte finally got to be Morata's coach!

(Baonghean.vn) - On their homepage, Chelsea announced they have successfully signed striker Morata from Real Madrid for approximately £70.7 million.

For some time now, the London club has been struggling to find a top-class striker to replace Costa, who is no longer in manager Conte's plans for next season.

Just when it seemed like everything would end quickly and smoothly with the Lukaku deal, a rival of Manchester United unexpectedly appeared and snatched the Belgian player away to Old Trafford.

Immediately, Chelsea's management began negotiations with Real Madrid regarding Morata. After several rounds of bargaining, the two sides finally agreed on a figure of £70.7 million.

According to plan, the striker born in 1993 will travel to London for a medical examination and officially be unveiled as a new player in the next one or two days. Thus, Morata has left the Bernabeu for the second time – and it is highly likely he will never return to Real Madrid again.

The Spanish striker excitedly shared: “I am very happy. Tomorrow, I will be going to Chelsea, the club that has always wanted me. I am not at all disappointed about what has happened. I have won four titles and now it is time to think about wearing the Chelsea shirt.”

I want to continue to grow. I would like to thank Zidane and wish him good luck next season. I will be going to a club where the coach has placed a lot of faith in me. That would be fantastic.”

Not only are Morata and Chelsea fans delighted, but manager Conte must be equally thrilled. Since the beginning of last season, the strategist has repeatedly expressed his admiration for the 24-year-old striker.

It was Morata, not anyone else (Lukaku, Belotti, Aubameyang), who was the striker most coveted by Coach Conte. Therefore, losing Lukaku but acquiring Morata seems like a blessing in disguise for the former Juventus manager.

Remember, on July 15, 2014, Coach Conte decided to leave Juventus to coach the Italian national team, and just four days later (July 19, 2014), Morata moved to Juventus Arena from Real Madrid. Witnessing this "mismatch," few believed that there could be any kind of connection between them (Conte and Morata).

Yet, exactly three years later, these two talented individuals are fighting alongside each other at Stamford Bridge. Morata's presence will help manager Conte build an even stronger Chelsea, while, thanks to the Italian strategist, Morata will rise to a higher level.

After all, Chelsea have found a replacement for Costa, and manager Conte has also fulfilled his wish to coach Morata.
